Over my years as a tutor, I have realized that many students, even those who have higher levels of English, get a little tripped up toward the end of a session when it is time to say goodbye.

If you studied English in school you probably were taught how to navigate an airport, how to order at a restaurant, or how to write a recipe, but it is unlikely that your teacher included how to end a language learning video chat in your curriculum.

Don’t stress too much about this as your tutor will make your goodbye simple and comfortable even if you don’t have the words to end a session yourself, but it might be helpful to come prepared with a few end of session pleasantries.

Task 1 (Vocabulary)

Listen to these examples of how to ‘sign off’ at the end of a Fluentify session. Repeat these phrases aloud after the tutor.
