Hi! Welcome to Week number 9!

Ciò che Talene ha spiegato nel video lo ripetiamo qui, perché è molto importante.

Quando si parla di "vocabolario" nell'apprendimento di una lingua, si fa spesso riferimento a nomi e verbi, considerandole le parti del discorso principali, senza le quali la comunicazione viene meno.

Verissimo!

Ma c'è un'altra parte del discorso altrettanto importante. Si tratta delle congiunzioni.

Le congiunzioni ti consentono di legare parole ad altre parole e frasi intere ad altre frasi, dando un senso specifico al tuo discorso, che, senza l'uso di quella determinata congiunzione, potrebbe assumere un significato completamente diverso!

Questa settimana la dedicheremo proprio alle congiunzioni e, al termine di queste cinque lezioni, ti renderai conto di come la struttura del tuo discorso potrà essere molto più organica e completa!

• and – The weather today is sunny and warm.
• but – I like reading books, but I prefer watching movies.
• yet – Luis has just lost his job, yet he looks happy and relaxed.
• for – We are late for the train, for we have wasted a lot of time packing.
• or – Would you like to pay with your credit card or by cheque?
• nor – I don’t have time nor  money to spend on this useless course.
• so – He was really tired yesterday, so he went to bed at 9 o’clock pm.
